Other Achievement

Dr. K.R. Anjan Kumar is from the  garden city of Karnataka, Bengaluru. He has a veterinary degree from Veterinary College, Bengaluru (B.VSc & A.H - 2007) and obtained Master’s degree in Veterinary Pathology at Madras Veterinary College with a dissertation on Expression of Cancer Stem Cell lineage markers -CD44, CD24 & ESA in the Prognosis of Canine Mammary tumors (M.V.Sc - 2009).

In the year 2012, he joined the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar as Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary College, Shivamogga and actively involved since then in Teaching and Diagnostic duties.

He is a life member of IAVP and received several distinction for his research work on Canine Mammary Tumours

He has participated in several scientific conferences and is author of more than 16 peer reviewed papers on tumour biology, biomedical research and immunohistological techniques.
Dr. K.R. Anjan Kumar is highly involved in animal cancer research and diagnostic activities.  His main research interests are in Animal Cancer Biology, Animal Cancer Models, Immunohistochemistry, Biomarkers and Cytology. He also has a long standing interest in Companion Animal Tumors and has established facilities for molecular oncology laboratory with Real time PCR assays, Mammalian cell culture platforms, Necropsy, Histopathology services and Immunohistochemistry.
