Hari Babu has a total of 32 years of experience in various capacities as Veterinary Officer in Animal Husbandry Department, A.P., Associate Professor ,Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College, Bidar since 1992 till 2001, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College, Bidar since 2001 and Dean, Veterinary College, Bidar since September 2007. He has completed three outside funded Research Projects and Guided 19 M.V.Sc and 2 Ph.D students as Major Guide and Chairman. He is recipient of prestigious National Award “Shri Ramlal Agrawal National Award” (Cash prize, Gold medal and Citation) for the year 1994 by Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine for the Research work titled ‘Immunostimulating effect of Livol against Newcastle disease virus in chicken’. , second best paper award for the “Study on the local immunity of Uterus against administration of Exapar® in post partum cows” in scientific section of Veterinary science at the poster session at National Seminal on Quality up gradation and safety aspects of dairy products, National award and gold medal from the Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery for the work on ,” Preseptal Orbital Cellulitis with or without Third eyelid Abscess : an emerging Disease of young buffaloes “ for the year 2003. Fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (FNAVS) awarded during the year 2006, Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar Award Presented for outstanding achievements by the International Institute of Education & Management, New Delhi on 12th December 2007 and Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold medal award presented for outstanding achievements by the Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi on 12th December 2007. Dr Y. Hari Babu has 85 Research and review articles at his credit and authored two books Veterinary Immunology.
